Washdown Pumpset for local pick-up satellite stations.

Customer Requirements:

In a production environment, effective cleaning and hygiene are essential. An integral part of ensuring this is to have efficient and effective washdown systems. These make commercial and industrial cleaning far more hygienic and efficient by feeding outlet points which can be positioned where they’re needed for a central pressure washing system.

H & M Disinfection Systems Ltd was recently approached by a company and asked to build a washdown pumpset for local pick-up satellite stations.

Work Carried Out:

We designed and built a system to pump 12 bar pressurised cold water around a factory ring main to 15 x Satellite stations. The satellite stations use the cold water for rinse, dilute detergent and dilute disinfectant for manual factory washdown.

The pumpset can provide up to 8 simultaneous users for rinse and 10 simultaneous users for both dilute detergent and dilute disinfectant.

The system highlights include:

• Duty and standby pump. This is to prevent downtime in the event of a pump failure.
• 1200L Cold water buffer tank
• Level control
• Pressure adjustment & control
• Touch screen interface (HMI)
